I%26#039;ve had a stubborn anal fissure for awhile now. I finally went to see a gastroenterologist, who prescribed Proctozone HC (to be used internally). I%26#039;m supposed to use it for 2 weeks. But some websites say that steroid creams are ineffective in treating anal fissures. Any truth to this?
In addition to the cream, I%26#039;m trying to increase the amount of fiber I get, and am taking baths.|||I would have thought that steroids do no good at all for healing a wound. Keep your BM%26#039;s soft; that is the absolute best approach!
