IS SKIN THINING CAUSED BY A STEROID CREAM PERMANENT?

Depending on your age and health, it can be. For young people, their skin is resilient and will, over time and in the absence of steroids, return back to normal if the damage caused isn%26#039;t severe. As people age, their cell%26#039;s ability to regenerate decreases. That compounded with steroids inhibiting cell reproduction may make it difficult for the skin to return to how it was.

It really just depends on your age and the strength of the steroid cream used. Generally, unless a person is pretty old or using serious steroids such as Fluocinonide, the skin will return to normal over time once steroid use is stopped.
