Cream, bethamethasone. Said expired in 2005...is like a steroid cream, it should be still fine right?

Store at room temperature between 2 and 30 degrees C (36 and 86 degrees F); do not freeze. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.

Betamethasone cream breaks down and is ineffective; the vehicle(cream) can become rancid and cause an allergic reaction(rash, itching)|||why do they put expiration dates on medicine?same reason they put it on food cause its no good after that date|||You should be alright. I have some of that same stuff with an expiration date of 2004 and I still use it when I need it.

The date just means it can lose some potency but, it won%26#039;t hurt you to use it after that date.

( Pills are a different story though. I definitely would not take an expired anti-biotic.)
