Is it ok to take steroid pills, use steroid creams and take strong painkillers while pregnant?

My wife%26#039;s period is late and as we were not planning to conceive right now she has been taking regular steroid pills and using strong prescribed steroid cream on her hands. She also experiences terrible migraines at times and has taken strong painkillers, again prescribed, at least four times over the past month. We are concerned about what effect, if any, this could have on her pregnancy, which is obviously still in a very early stage. Any answers, or links to relevant pages, would be much appreciated.

Thank you.|||Only a Dr could answer this, but if you go to www.safefetus.com you can enter the names of her meds and it will tell you how safe it is during pregnancy. If it%26#039;s listed as a class D I would strongly suggest she not take them any longer until she knows for sure if she is pregnant.|||Better NO.

consulting a doc will help u.|||Come on ! What do you think ?|||All of what your wife has been using is unsafe during pregnancy. Even the hand cream. I couldn%26#039;t keep using mine once I found out I was pregnant. The strongest pain relief you can use is panadine. No nurofen, panadine forte etc. I would suggest she stop all of the medication and go see her doctor immediately to see if there;s something else she can take in replacement if she is indeed pregnant.|||need to consult doc. not sure abotu steroid thing (sure they cant be good)

but the only safe painkiller is paracetamol. Anything stronger you have to see a doc about asap

Ibuprofen, aspirin etc are BIG no nos|||The cream may be ok (read MAYBE) but the medication IS NOT!!!!!! Go and see your Doctor immediately because some drugs cause birth defects or malformations.
